Human factors in accident investigation To improve human performance, personal safety, management systems and loss control, effective investigation of the human factors relating to accidents and incidents is essential. On 19-20 June 2019, HSE is running a 2 day training course on Human Factors in Accident and Incident Investigations at its Science and Research Centre in Buxton, Derbyshire. Using practical exercises it will provide an essential background for accident investigation; discuss principles of investigation techniques and give an understanding of human performance failure. This course is suitable for a wide range of health and safety professionals, regulators, inspectors and human factors advisors who are new to accident investigation.
