Developing Effective Procedures

NEW: Developing Effective Procedures

Weds 24 July, HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton

Organisations commonly rely on procedures to control health, safety and business risks.

Procedures can only achieve this if they are well designed and people follow them; this is especially important when operating in safety critical environments.

On Wednesday 24 July HSE is running a new one-day course, 'Developing Effective Procedures' at its Science and Research Centre in Buxton, Derbyshire

Focusing on safety critical activities and major accident hazards, you'll learn how to develop effective procedures, assess and improve existing ones, and achieve compliance with them.

The course is aimed at managers, supervisors and technicians responsible for developing and using procedures in various scenarios, and anyone required to follow safety-critical procedures.

CDM 2015: An introduction to the role of Principal Designer

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 introduced a new role: that of 'Principal Designer' (PD).

Principal designers play an important role in influencing how risks to health and safety are managed throughout a project.

On Tuesday 2 July 2019, at its Science and Research Centre in Buxton, Derbyshire, HSE is presenting the 1 day course:

'The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) - An Introduction to the Role of the Principal Designer.'

Delivered by an HSE Principal Inspector with over 30 years' experience this event is aimed at designers, clients, contractors and/or individuals who may take on the pre-construction phase coordination role for the first time, or who simply want to understand the PD function for small to medium size projects.
