Machinery Risk Assessment

Machinery Risk Assessment Essentials

Tuesday 06 August 2019, Buxton

The ability to carry out a detailed machinery risk assessment is  required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regs and - explicitly - by the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regs 2008.

Yet many people still struggle to know what is suitable and sufficient to satisfy these regulations.

This training course gives you practical hands-on experience of conducting a machinery risk assessment using structured techniques to clarify the process given in BS EN ISO 12100: 2010.

It is aimed primarily at machinery users, maintenance engineers, designers and project engineers who need to learn how to carry out risk assessment of new or existing machinery in use.

Machinery Directive training from HSE

Machinery Series: Machinery Directive

Wednesday 07 August 2019, Buxton

Pressure Systems Awareness training from HSE

Pressure Systems Awareness training

Wednesday 25 September 2019, Buxton

From tyre inflators through refrigerators to entire industrial processes, pressure systems are indispensable to industry.

HSE's informative and experiential 1-day course 'Pressure Systems Awareness' aims to raise awareness of the hazards associated with pressure systems and covers the relevant regulatory framework.

You'll have the unique opportunity to learn from real life case studies and forensic investigations into pressure systems failures, providing a first hand perspective of what can go wrong and why.

On completion of this course you will be able to identify pressure systems in the workplace and understand which legal requirements apply to this equipment.

You'll also gain an understanding of the nature and significance of common risks associated with pressure systems, who has duties under the regulations, and current risk mitigation strategies.
