Heatwave information and advice With temperatures soaring in parts of Britain this week, make sure you have the right advice and guidance... It is important to remember the risks of overheating when working in hot conditions. See our simple advice on what must be provided for a safe and healthy workplace, as well as what toilet and washing facilities are required.    This past week saw a company prosecuted for failing to ensure suitable welfare facilities were provided for workers on site. Transporting dangerous goods 22-26 July is Vehicle Load Security Enforcement Week, a police-led campaign across Britain highlighting the risks if goods aren't transported safely... Make sure your workers and other road users are protected by reading the guidance on carrying dangerous goods.   Dangerous goods are items or materials that can pose a risk to people, animals, or the environment if not properly handled in use or during transport. They include goods that can easily catch fire, are corrosive, or are radioactive.   HSE's website also has helpful workplace transport safety guidance.
