Procedures can only achieve this if they are well designed and people follow them; this is especially important when operating in safety critical environments. On Tuesday 03 September HSE is running a brand new course, 'Developing Effective Procedures' at its Science and Research Centre in Buxton, Derbyshire.  This one day course will help delegates to develop effective procedures, or assess and improve existing ones, and achieve compliance with them. It will focus on safety critical activities that impact occupational safety and major accident hazards.
