HSE eBulletin Low Noise Design Conference Wednesday 18 September 2019 The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House, London, SW1Y 5AG   HSE and the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) present a joint event this September, 'Low Noise Design'.   Find out more and book your place(s) for this conference. The conference will share knowledge and experience on recent developments in "quiet by design" for workplace machinery. Awareness of the need to protect workers from damaging noise levels has never been higher, and buyers and users of machinery and tools now expect suppliers to refine their products for reduced noise, achieving better than minimum legislation. Best practice in noise control has also developed significantly in recent decades, and new methods and technologies abound.    This event supports the HSE's ongoing initiatives for noise control by promoting the development, supply and purchase of low noise equipment.
